Washington, D.C. — The National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI), the research and training arm of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), is hosting its International Fellows Program from June 10-19. The program provides international government attorneys the opportunity to discuss common issues, establish professional networks, and learn new tools and techniques.

NAGTRI is pleased to be hosting the International Fellows program again in 2022 after a two-year delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2022 class, which was originally scheduled to participate in 2020, will focus on the important issue of domestic and sexual violence, the role of prosecutors, and the tools they may use in reducing the effects of domestic and sexual violence. Experts will provide a foundational overview of the current trends and continuing impact of these crimes while sharing investigative and prosecutorial techniques to fight such violence at every stage.

Throughout the program, participants will learn about:

• Marginalized communities affected by violence.
• Evolving practices.
• Victim protection.
• The impact social media has on victims and perpetrators.
• How a trauma-informed approach must be implemented.
• The overall global impact these crimes have on society.

The 2022 class is made up of 18 attorneys from around the world.
