NAAG Center on Cyber and Technology

Home / NAAG Center on Cyber and Technology

The NAAG Center on Cyber and Technology (CyTech) develops programs and resources to support state attorneys general and their staffs in understanding technical aspects of emerging and evolving technologies, conducting cybercrime investigations and prosecutions, and ensuring secure and resilient public and private sector networks and infrastructure. The Center also serves as an information clearinghouse for the attorney general community on trending technology issues.

The Center achieves its mission by:

  • Creating a practice-based community to share information.
  • Developing trainings and programs for attorneys general and attorney general staff.
  • Forming strategic partnerships with other government agencies, academics, nonprofits, and the private sector on technology-related issues and developments.
  • Developing and updating contact lists for attorney general offices who need connections or specific subject matter experts’ assistance.

Cybersecurity and Technology-Related Work

NAAG has developed and hosted several programs on areas such as cybersecurity, cybercrime, and emerging technologies, including:

  • A first-of-its-kind Cybersecurity Seminar for the AAG community (Dec. 2021)
  • Cybercrime Investigations: A Comprehensive View from Two Former Prosecutors
  • Cybercrime Investigations: Understanding, Cybercrime, Computers, and Cybersecurity
  • An annual “state of state cybersecurity” webinar
  • Facial Recognition Technology 101: An Introduction for the State Attorney General Community

Cyber and Technology Hub

NAAG has launched a members-only hub that provides information, updates, and materials related to cybercrime, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. Content will be regularly updated, and members are encouraged to share relevant resources. The hub includes resources on the latest recommended cybersecurity practices for all organizations.

Attorney general staff must have a verified NAAG.org account to register for access to this hub. For questions about your NAAG account, please email support@naag.org.
